When oral surgery can help
Oral surgery may be appropriate when a tooth can no longer be saved or when space needs to be created for further treatment.
We most commonly treat:
- teeth severely damaged by decay;
- painful or improperly erupted wisdom teeth;
- teeth that need to be removed before orthodontic treatment;
- primary teeth that need to be extracted to allow permanent teeth to erupt correctly.

What happens during the procedure?
We will explain the entire process in advance so that you know what to expect.
1. Examination and treatment planning
We assess the condition of the tooth and recommend the most appropriate approach.
2. Local anaesthesia
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel any pain.
3. The procedure itself
We remove the tooth as gently as possible or perform a surgical procedure where necessary, for example in the case of an impacted wisdom tooth.
4. Wound care
We clean and treat the area and place stitches if needed to support proper healing.
5. Aftercare instructions
You will receive clear instructions on how to care for the area and reduce the risk of complications during healing.
Additional oral surgery procedures
In addition to routine tooth extractions, we also perform a range of specialised procedures:
- root-end resection under an operating microscope;
- dental implant placement using high-quality Astra implants;
- bone augmentation;
- periodontal surgery;
- placement of a skeletally anchored Hyrax expander.

Cost of oral surgery treatment
The cost depends on the type and complexity of the procedure. Before treatment, we will always explain both the recommended approach and the price.
The most common procedures include permanent tooth extractions, starting from CZK 2,800, and surgical extractions, starting from CZK 4,500.
